La Paz

La Paz is a city of about 180,000 people, which accounts for about half the total population of the entire state of Baja California Sur.  According to my AAA book, it is also considered the most beautiful capitol in the entire country of Mexico.

I love staying at the La Concha Hotel.  It was the only hotel I could find with a beach.  I have, however, seen an ad somewhere for a Howard Johnson who claims they are the only hotel with a beach.  I'll check this out the next time down.

For a resort hotel, La Concha is relatively inexpensive.  I have paid between $55 and $95 for a standard room.  Because I stayed there for three nights, I got to know some of the workers.  This happens more when you are traveling alone.

This site us under construction and you have just caught up with me.
